Guinness World Record Attempt for the Largest Cream Tea  - Sage, Gateshead

To celebrate the 25th birthday of the National lottery the Student Council were invited to an event at The Sage, Gateshead, to break the Guinness World Record for the largest cream tea.

We had an amazing afternoon, not only breaking the world record set in London 2018, but we also met lots of lovely people and some celebrities!

To top off such a brilliant afternoon, it was wonderful when several of the adults there commented on the children being so well behaved and a credit to the school.

Well done and thank you, Student Council.

Safety Outside Our School
On Wednesday we held a demonstration outside of our school gates as  a thank you to parents and carers who park away from our school gates in a safe way but also to remind those who continue to put us in danger by parking unsafely. We produced posters and made up a rap and a song to deliver this very important message.
Mission Christmas Appeal
Thank you to everyone who donated toys and gifts for local children, this will help to make their Christmas a little more joyful.
Christmas Cards and Songs
We decided to make Christmas cards for residents at Kirkwood Court residential home who may not have friends and family to receive these from. We also sang Christmas songs to wish them a Merry Christmas.
Afterwards we discussed how just by sharing  a little of our time we could bring so much joy to others.
Healthy Packed Lunch
As a Student Council, we all know the importance of healthy eating so we decided to pass on some of our knowledge to Parent and Carers to help support them in providing healthy Packed lunches for their children. We produced a leaflet and a power point which we shared with the children in school during assembly.
