Meet our Mental Health and Well-being Mentors

At St Cuthbert's we are incredibly fortunate to be involved in a new and innovative project with the National Health Service (NHS) aimed at supporting children in primary schools with their mental health and well-being. Monica and Lorraine, pictured below, are two Mental Health and Well-being professionals employed and trained by the NHS. They will be working alongside our staff at St Cuthbert's delivering whole class sessions and small group sessions to children across KS2 (Year 3, 4, 5 and 6). These sessions will help to develop children's understanding of what is meant by the term mental health and well-being and an understanding of their own mental health and well-being. The sessions will also provide children with the necessary language to be able to communicate their feelings and emotions with others and the necessary tools and skills to help them deal with them in a positive and productive way.
