Celebrating Outstanding Sporting Achievement!
Look who we spotted in the Official Newcastle United Annual 2019!?
Our school reached the regional finals of the Premier League Primary Stars Tournament in 2018, competing against 24,000 pupils accros Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Northumberland.
This weekend, two of our Year 6 children took part in the ESFA National Football Tournament at the RICOH Arena in Coventry - representing the Newcastle County Team.
The boys did fantastically well, making it to the semi-finals of the competition before eventually being knocked out on penalties. To reach the national stage, they had to win the regional tournament, so to reach this stage of the competition is an extraordinary achievement that they should be very proud of!
This current County team is the most successful team that Newcastle has had for many years - last week the boys helped the team win the County League for the first time since 1941! What an incredible achievement!
As well as being integral to the Newcastle Schools' team and the St. Cuthbert's School Team, the boys were also honoured by their club team, Gosforth FC, with an outstanding achievement award! This was to recognise their achievements with their club and county teams.
Needless to say we are incredibly proud of our boys and we know that they have a bright future ahead!
