Remembrance Day 2017

10th November 2017
A short video to showcase the fantastic artwork and musical talent in our Year 6 class. The piece of music is called Reveille and is a trumpet call associated with the military. It is chiefly used to wake military personnel at sunrise. The name comes from réveille (or réveil), the French word for "wake up". We're so proud of our Year 6 class and their amazing talents.
Year 2 liturgy for Remembrance Day. We said some prayers and placed our painted stones around the tree.
Year 3 and 4 visited our remembrance garden today. They contemplated why we remember those that have died in the World Wars and what they have taught us and how they have shaped our British values. We reflected on their sacrifice by silently praying.
Year 5 and 6 took part in liturgies about Remembrance Day in our prayer garden this morning. It was a reflective and moving time with prayer and music.
