Pick Up After Your Pooch

22nd September 2017
We had a visitor in our assembly this morning from the council to talk about the concerns of the level of dog fouling in the area. It is an issue in many areas of the city and the council feel that involving the children is a good approach. Melanie Wallace (the Enviro Schools Officer) talked to the children about all of the things involved in looking after dogs from loving them and playing with them to cleaning up after them.

The children are going to be taking part in a competition in school where they have to design a poster to be displayed in the Kenton area to stop people not picking up after their dogs. The winning poster will be placed around Kenton for all to see.

The winner will be announced after half term and will receive an Intu gift voucher and a certificate.
